Sporting Activities and Events

The Dawnlee is well placed for the many sporting venues and events in and around Blackpool.

Blackpool Football Club - Bloomfield Road is literally a 5 minute walk.

Waterloo Bowling Greens are also a 5 minute walk away.

The numerous Golf Courses including:

Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool

The famous Aintree Racecourse, home of The Grand National, is only approximately 1 - 1½ hours away from Blackpool.
Trying to find somewhere to stay, in and around Liverpool, on Grand National weekend is a nightmare.
People book accommodation a year in advance for the National. Why not save yourself the hassle and come and stay

Thousands flock to Blackpool every year for the famous Pigeon Fanciers Weekend held at the Wintergardens.

There are some very good fishing opportunities available in and around Blackpool.

The North Shore Break Wall - Some good shore fishing from this very accessible location.
You can literally drive your car down on to the concrete Breakwall, park up and cast out.

Cleveleys - Again some good shore fishing from this accessible location.
Roadside parking right on the promenade and a good stretch of beach where you can fish in relative comfort.

Marine Beach, Fleetwood - Similar to Cleveleys, some good shore fishing from this accessible location.

Fleetwood - There are several charter fishing boats offering off-shore sea angling trips.

Plus there are numerous good Day Ticket Course Fisheries in and around the Blackpool area.
